スタンダードなステンカラーコート。
「ステンカラー」は和製英語とされており、フランス語のsoutien（「支える」と言う意味からきているとされている。
正式には、バルマカーンコートで、起源は、スコットランド・ハイランド地方のバルマカーン(Balmacaan)という地名に由来すると言われている。ツイードやギャバジンで作られたラグラン袖のレインコートの一種として誕生し、トレンチコートから派生したという説も存在する。

“The convertible collar” is considered to be Japanese English, French soutien (is said that come from a meaning to say, “support it”.
It is said that I come from the place name called balmacaan (Balmacaan) of the Scotland Highlands with a balmacaan coat formally in the origin. I am born as a kind of the raincoat of raglan sleeves made with tweed and gabardine, and the opinion derived from a trench coat exists.
